The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 144(3)(b) and (14) of the Transport Act 2000( 1 ), makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Bus Lane Contraventions (Approved Local Authorities) (England) (Amendment) (No. 8) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 6th February 2007.
Specification of approved local authorities
2. —(1) Warrington Borough Council is specified as an approved local authority for the purposes of section 144 of the Transport Act 2000 (civil penalties for bus lane contraventions)( 2 ).
(2) The City of Wolverhampton is specified as an approved local authority for the purposes of section 144 of the Transport Act 2000 (civil penalties for bus lane contraventions)( 3 ).
Amendment to the Bus Lane Contraventions (Approved Local Authorities) (England) Order 2005
3. —(1)The Schedule to the Bus Lane Contraventions (Approved Local Authorities) (England) Order 2005( 4 ) shall be amended as set out in paragraph (2).
(2) After the row in the table relating to Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council, insert the following row—
| “ Warrington Borough Council | S.I. 2006/3421 ” |
(3) After the row in the table relating to Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council, insert the following row—
| “ Wolverhampton City Council | S.I. 2006/3420 ” |

The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Borough of Warrington) Order 2006 ( S.I. 2006/3421 ) designates part of the Borough of Warrington as a permitted and special parking area under paragraphs 1(1), 2(1) and 3(3) of Schedule 3 to the Road Traffic Act 1991 (c.40) .
The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Wolverhampton) Order 2006 ( S.I. 2006/3420 ) designates part of the City of Wolverhampton as a permitted and special parking area under paragraphs 1(1), 2(1) and 3(3) of Schedule 3 to the Road Traffic Act 1991 (c.40) .
S.I. 2005/2755 , to which there are no amendments relevant to this Order.
