The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 1(8) and section 26(9)(a) of the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993( 1 ), makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993 (Addition of Qualifying Judicial Offices) Order 2006 and comes into force on 3rd April 2006.

2. In Part II of Schedule 1 to the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993(offices which may be qualifying judicial offices for the purposes of Part 1 of the Act), after the entry relating to District Judge, insertβ€”

3. At the end of Schedule 5 to that Act (retirement provisions: the relevant offices), addβ€”
