The Gambling Act 2005 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2006

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 358(1) and (2) of the Gambling Act 2005( 1 ):

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Gambling Act 2005 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2006.

(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Gambling Act 2005 .

2. —(1) The following provisions of the Act shall come into force on 31st March 2006—

(a) section 166 (power to resolve not to issue casino licences);

(b) section 349 (duty on licensing authorities to prepare and publish a three-year licensing policy statement).
