The Social Fund (Application for Review) (Amendment) Regulations 2006

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 38(1) and (3) of the Social Security Act 1998( 1 ).

The Social Security Advisory Committee has agreed that proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it( 2 ).

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Social Fund (Application for Review) (Amendment) Regulations 2006 and shall come into force on 24th April 2006.

Amendment of the Social Fund (Application for Review) Regulations 1988

2. —(1)Regulation 2(1) of the Social Fund (Application for Review) Regulations 1988( 3 ) (manner of making application for review or further review and time limits) is amended as follows.

(2) For “delivering it to an office of the Department of Health and Social Security”( 4 ), substitute—
