The Lord Chief Justice of England, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 49 of the Courts-Martial (Appeals) Act 1968( 1 ), and with the approval of the Lord Chancellor, hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1. These Rules may be cited as the Courts-Martial Appeal (Amendment No.2) Rules 2007 and shall come into force on 28th May 2007

Amendments to the Courts-Martial Appeal Rules 1968

2. β€”(1) The Courts-Martial Appeal Rules 1968( 2 ) shall be amended as follows.

(2) For the definition of legal adviser in paragraph (3)(c) of rule 8C there is substitutedβ€”

β€œ (c) is a member of the Bar of Northern Ireland or a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Northern Ireland; or ”
