The Electoral Administration Act 2006 (Commencement No. 4 and Transitional Provision) Order 2007

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(2) and (4) of the Electoral Administration Act 2006( 1 ):

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Electoral Administration Act 2006 (Commencement No. 4 and Transitional Provision) Order 2007.

(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Electoral Administration Act 2006.

Commencement of section 58 of the Act

2. Section 58 of the Act shall come into force on 30th June 2007.

Transitional provision

3. The requirement in section 69(2)(aa) of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000( 2 ) (as inserted by section 58 of the Act) does not apply to donations reported to the Electoral Commission before 1st April 2007.
