The Armed Forces (Service Police Amendments) Order 2007

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 379(1)(b) of the Armed Forces Act 2006( 1 ).
In accordance with section 373(3)(a) of the Armed Forces Act 2006 a draft of this instrument was laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
1. This Order may be cited as the Armed Forces (Service Police Amendments) Order 2007 and shall come into force on the day after that on which it is made.
2. The Schedule to this Order shall have effect.

SCHEDULE 1 Modification of certain Statutory Instruments
Amendment of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 (Application to the Armed Forces) Order 1997
1. —(1)The Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 (Application to the Armed Forces) Order 1997( 2 ) is amended as follows—
(a) In column 2 of the Schedule, for “Royal Navy Regulating Branch” substitute “Royal Navy Police”.
Amendment of the Crime and Disorder Strategies (Prescribed Descriptions) Order 1998
2. —(1)The Crime and Disorder Strategies (Prescribed Descriptions) Order 1998( 3 ) is amended as follows—
(a) In Article 3(4), for “Royal Navy Regulating Branch” substitute “Royal Navy Police”.
Amendment of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Directed Surveillance and Covert Human Intelligence Sources) Order 2003
3. —(1)The Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Directed Surveillance and Covert Human Intelligence Sources) Order 2003( 4 ) is amended as follows—
(a) In column 1 of Part I of the Schedule for “Royal Navy Regulating Branch” substitute “Royal Navy Police”.
