The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 41(1), (2) and (5) of the Road Traffic Act 1988( 1 ).
In accordance with section 195(2) of that Act she has consulted with such representative organisations as she thinks fit.
Citation and commencement
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations 2007 and shall come into force on 1st October 2007.
Amendment of regulations
2. In Schedule 7XA (end of series exemptions) to the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986( 2 ), in Part II, in paragraph 2(2)—
(a) in paragraph (a) after “by virtue of” there shall be inserted “either item 2J of Schedule 1 or”;
(b) after “which” in the first place where it occurs there shall be inserted “, other than item 2J of Schedule 1,”.
