The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972( 1 ).
The Secretary of State for Transport is a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to compulsory insurance in respect of, and other means of providing for, civil liability in relation to motor vehicles and trailers( 2 ).
Citation and commencement
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Compulsory Insurance) (Information Centre and Compensation Body) (Amendment) Regulations 2007 and shall come into force on 1 st December 2007.
Amendment of the Motor Vehicles (Compulsory Insurance) (Information Centre and Compensation Body) Regulations 2003
2. —(1)The Motor Vehicles (Compulsory Insurance) (Information Centre and Compensation Body) Regulations 2003( 3 ) are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 2(1), omit the definition of “guarantee fund”.
