It appears to the Secretary of State that the byelaws specified in article 2 of this Order have been substantially superseded by an instrument which applies to the area to which the byelaws apply.

Accordingly, the Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 262(8)(d) of the Local Government Act 1972( 1 ).

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Stebbing Green (Revocation of Parish Council Byelaws) Order 2007 and shall come into force on 13th December 2007.

Revocation

2. The byelaws made by Stebbing Parish Council on 26th June 1952 with respect to Stebbing Green are revoked.

1972 c.70 . These powers are now vested in the Welsh Ministers so far as they are exercisable in relation to Wales. They were previously transferred to the National Assembly for Wales by article 2 of the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999 ( S.I. 1999/672 ); see the entry in Schedule 1 to the Local Government Act 1972. By virtue of paragraphs 30 and 32 of Schedule 11 to the Government of Wales Act 2006 (c. 32) , they were transferred to the Welsh Ministers.
