The Electoral Administration Act 2006 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2007

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(2) of the Electoral Administration Act 2006( 1 ).

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Electoral Administration Act 2006 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2007.

(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Electoral Administration Act 2006.

Record of electoral registration arrangements of service personnel

2. The day appointed for the coming into force of section 13(2) and (3) of the Act is 30th November 2007.

Access to election documents after Greater London Authority elections

3. The day appointed for the coming into force in England and Wales of sections 42 to 44 of the Act for the purposes of Authority elections (as defined by section 203(1) of the Representation of the People Act 1983( 2 )), is 1st January 2008.
