The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 144(3)(b) and (14) of the Transport Act 2000( 1 ), makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Bus Lane Contraventions (Approved Local Authorities) (England) (Amendment) (No. 8) Order 2007 and shall come into force on 14th January 2008.
Specification of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead as an approved local authority
2. The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is specified as an approved local authority for the purposes of section 144 of the Transport Act 2000 (civil penalties for bus lane contraventions)( 2 ).
Amendment to the Bus Lane Contraventions (Approved Local Authorities) (England) Order 2005
3. —(1)The Schedule to the Bus Lane Contraventions (Approved Local Authorities) (England) Order 2005( 3 ) shall be amended as set out in paragraph (2).
(2) After the row in the table relating to Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, insert the following row—

The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead) Order 2007 ( S.I. 2007/3553 ) designates part of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead as a permitted and special parking area under paragraphs 1(1), 2(1) and 3(3) of Schedule 3 to the Road Traffic Act 1991 (c.40) .
S.I. 2005/2755 , to which there are no amendments relevant to this Order.
