The Motor Cars (Driving Instruction) (Amendment) Regulations 2007

The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 132(2)(b) and 141 of the Road Traffic Act 1988( 1 ) and by virtue of the Department of Transport (Fees) Order 1988( 2 ).

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Cars (Driving Instruction) (Amendment) Regulations 2007 and shall come into force on 2nd April 2007.

Amendment of the Motor Cars (Driving Instruction) Regulations 2005

2. —(1) The table in regulation 17 of The Motor Cars (Driving Instruction) Regulations 2005( 3 ) is amended as follows.

(2) In item 1, in column 3 for “£50” substitute “£75”.

(3) In item 2—

(a) in column 2 omit “—prior to 1st April 2006” and “—on and from 1st April 2006”;

(b) in column 3 for “£79” and “£82” substitute “£85”.

(4) In item 3—

(a) in column 2—

(i) insert “the” between “to” and “instructional ability”,

(ii) omit “—prior to 1st April 2006” and “—on and from 2nd April 2006”;

(b) in column 3 for “£79” and “£82” substitute “£85”.
