The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 46(4) of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000( 1 ), makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Authorisations Extending to Scotland) Order 2007 and shall come into force on 16 th April 2007.

2. —(1) Subject to paragraph (2), it is directed that the public authorities listed in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order (being public authorities for the time being specified in Schedule 1 to the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000( 2 )) are relevant public authorities for all parts of the United Kingdom.

(2) Where there is an entry in column 2 against a particular authority, that authority is a relevant public authority for all parts of the United Kingdom only to the extent specified in that column.

3. The Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Authorisations Extending to Scotland) Order 2000( 3 ) is revoked.
