The Driving Licences (Exchangeable Licences) (Amendment) Order 2007

This Order is made in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 108(2), (2A) and (2B) of the Road Traffic Act 1988( 1 ).

The Secretary of State for Transport is not satisfied that satisfactory provision is made by the laws of Kenya as respects the grant of driving licences to drive motor vehicles.

The Secretary of State for Transport has consulted with representative organisations in accordance with section 108(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988.

Accordingly the Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Driving Licences (Exchangeable Licences) (Amendment) Order 2007 and shall come into force on 31st January 2007.

Amendment of Driving Licences (Exchangeable Licences) Order 1999

2. In the Driving Licences (Exchangeable Licences) Order 1999( 2 ), in the Schedule, omit the word “Kenya”.
