The Secretary of State for Innovation, Universities and Skills makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 129(1) of the Education Reform Act 1988( 1 ).

Citation and commencement

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Education (Designated Institutions) (Amendment) (England) Order 2008 and comes into force on 1st August 2008.

(2) This Order applies in relation to England.

Amendment of the Education (Designated Institutions) Order 1989

2. The Education (Designated Institutions) Order 1989( 2 ) is amended as follows.

3. In Part 2 of the Schedule to the Order omit “Royal College of Nursing, Institute of Advanced Nursing Education (London)”.
