This Order is made in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 8(1) of Schedule 8 and paragraph 3(1) of Schedule 10 to the Traffic Management Act 2004( 1 ).
The Borough Council of Dudley has applied to the Secretary of State for an order to be made under these powers with respect to the whole of its area.
The Secretary of State has consulted the chief constable of the West Midlands Police in accordance with the requirements of paragraphs 8(3) of Schedule 8 and 3(4) of Schedule 10.
Accordingly, the Secretary of State for Transport( 2 ) makes this Order—
Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (Dudley) Designation Order 2008 and shall come into force on 7th July 2008.
Revocation of the Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (The Borough Council of Dudley) Designation Order 2008
2. The Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (The Borough Council of Dudley) Designation Order 2008( 3 ) is revoked.
Designation of civil enforcement area and special enforcement area
3. The Secretary of State designates the whole of the area of the metropolitan district of The Borough Council of Dudley as—
(a) a civil enforcement area for parking contraventions; and
(b) a special enforcement area.
