The Greater London Authority Act 2007 (Commencement No.5) Order 2008

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 59(7) and (9) of the Greater London Authority Act 2007( 1 ), makes the following Order.
Citation
1. This Order may be cited as the Greater London Authority Act 2007 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2008.
Provision coming into force
2. Section 38 of the Greater London Authority Act 2007, in so far as it is not already in force( 2 ), comes into force on 24th July 2008.

The power by virtue of section 38 of the Greater London Authority Act 2007 for the Secretary of State to make an order in relation to the establishment and administration of the London Waste and Recycling Board came into force on the day that Act was passed (see section 59(4)(b) of that Act).
