The Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (County of Buckinghamshire) (District of Wycombe) Designation Order 2008

This Order is made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 89(3) of the Traffic Management Act 2004( 1 ) and by paragraph 8(1) of Schedule 8 and paragraph 3(1) of Schedule 10 to that Act.

Buckinghamshire County Council has applied to the Secretary of State for an order to be made under these powers with respect to part of its area.

The Secretary of State has consulted the Chief Constable of Thames Valley Police in accordance with the requirements of paragraphs 8(3) of Schedule 8 and 3(4) of Schedule 10.

Accordingly, the Secretary of State for Transport( 2 ) makes this Order.

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (County of Buckinghamshire) (District of Wycombe) Designation Order 2008 and shall come into force on 1st October 2008.

Designation of civil enforcement area and special enforcement area

2. The Secretary of State designates the area described in the Schedule as—

(a) a civil enforcement area for parking contraventions; and

(b) a special enforcement area.

Revocation

3. The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (County of Buckinghamshire) (High Wycombe Town Centre) Order 1997( 3 ) and the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (County of Buckinghamshire) (High Wycombe Town Centre) (Amendment) Order 1999( 4 ) are revoked.

Article 2

SCHEDULE Area designated as a civil enforcement area and a special enforcement area

This Order applies to the area of the District of Wycombe except—

(a) the section of the M40, including the on and off slip roads, that lies within the area;

(b) the section of the A404 south of the Handy Cross roundabout, including the on and off slip roads, that lies within the area; and

(c) the Handy Cross roundabout.
