The Health Act 2006 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2008

The Secretary of State for Health makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 83(7) and (8) of the Health Act 2006( 1 ).

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Health Act 2006 (Commencement No.6) Order 2008.

Appointed day for provisions relating to medicines and pharmacies

2. 1st October 2009 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Health Act 2006β€”

(a) sections 27, 28, 29 and 31;

(b) section 30 in so far as it is not already in force( 2 ); and

(c) in Schedule 9, the repeal of paragraph (b) and the β€œand” immediately preceding it in section 77 of the Medicines Act 1968( 3 ).
