The Secretary of State for Health makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 2(b) and (d) of Schedule 4 to the Health Act 2006( 1 ):

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Appointments Commission (Amendment) Regulations 2008 and shall come into force on 8th December 2008.

Amendment of regulation 2 of the Appointments Commission Regulations 2006

2. In regulation 2 of the Appointments Commission Regulations 2006( 2 ) (membership of the Commission)—

(a) in paragraph (1), for “five” substitute “four”; and

(b) in paragraph (2), for “four” substitute “three”.
