The Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 (Commencement No. 15) Order 2008

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 103(3) of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000( 1 ), the Secretary of State makes the following Order.

Citation and application

1. This Orderβ€”

(a) may be cited as the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 (Commencement No. 15) Order 2008; and

(b) applies in relation to England only.

Appointed day

2. 18th February 2008 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000β€”

(a) section 51 (which gives effect to Schedule 5) in so far as it gives effect to the provision referred to in sub-paragraph (b); and

(b) paragraph 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 5, to the extent that it inserts section 53A into the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981( 2 ).
