The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 170(3) and (4) and 171(5) of the Health and Social Care Act 2008( 1 ), make the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2008.

Appointed day for Part 4 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008, relating to Health in Pregnancy Grant

2. 1st January 2009 is the day appointed for the coming into force of Part 4 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
