The Secretary of State makes the following order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 21(3) of the UK Borders Act 2007( 1 )

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the UK Borders Act 2007 (Code of Practice on Children) Order 2008 and shall come into force on 6 th January 2009.

Entry into force of code of practice

2. The Code of Practice for Keeping Children Safe from Harm issued by the Secretary of State for the Home Department shall come into force on 6 th January 2009.
