The National Health Service (Dental Charges) Amendment Regulations 2008

The Secretary of State for Health makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 176 and 272(7) of the National Health Service Act 2006( 1 ).
Citation, commencement and application
1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Dental Charges) Amendment Regulations 2008 and shall come into force on 1st April 2008.
(2) These Regulations apply in relation to England.
Interpretation
2. In these Regulations, “the Dental Charges Regulations” means the National Health Service (Dental Charges) Regulations 2005( 2 ).
Amendment of the Dental Charges Regulations
3. —(1) The Dental Charges Regulations are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 4 (calculation of charges)—
(a) in paragraph (1), for £15.90 substitute £16.20;
(b) in paragraph (2), for £43.60 substitute £44.60;
(c) in paragraph (3), for £194.00 substitute £198.00;
(d) in paragraph (4), for £194.00 substitute £198.00; and
(e) in paragraph (5), for £15.90 substitute £16.20.
(3) In Schedule 3 to the Dental Charges Regulations (Band 3 Charges – Provision of Appliances) for paragraph (a) substitute—
“ (a) laboratory fabricated porcelain or composite veneers, including acid etch retention ” .
