The Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 377A(5) of the Greater London Authority Act 1999( 1 ):
Citation and Commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Greater London Authority (Mayor of London Appointments) Order 2008 and shall come into force on 6th April 2008.
Appointments and Organisations prescribed by the Secretary of State
2. There are prescribed for the purposes of section 377A of the Greater London Authority Act (the Mayor’s duty to exercise certain powers of appointment) the descriptions of appointment specified in the first column of the Schedule in the case of the bodies shown opposite them in the second column.
