The Counter-Terrorism Act 2008 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2009

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 100(5) of the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008( 1 ):

1. This Order may be cited as the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2009.

2. The following provisions of the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008 shall come into force on 18th June 2009—

(a) section 28 (jurisdiction to try offences committed in the UK);

(b) sections 30 to 33 (sentencing), together with Schedule 2 (offences where terrorist connection to be considered);

(c) sections 34 to 39 (forfeiture), together with Schedule 3 (forfeiture: consequential amendments);

(d) section 99 in so far as it relates to the entries in Schedule 9 mentioned in sub-paragraph (e); and

(e) the entries in Part 3 (forfeiture) of Schedule 9 (repeals and revocations).
