The Banking Act 2009 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2009

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 263(1) and (3) of the Banking Act 2009( 1 ), the Treasury make the following Order:

Citation and interpretation

1. β€”(1) This Order may be cited as the Banking Act 2009 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2009.

(2) In this Orderβ€”

β€œthe Act” means the Banking Act 2009;

β€œthe court” means the court of directors of the Bank of England.

Provisions of the Act coming into force on 1st June 2009

2. The provisions of Part 7 (Miscellaneous) of the Act listed in the Schedule to this Order come into force on 1st June 2009.
