The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers under Article 136 of the Air Navigation Order 2005( 1 ) and with the concurrence of the Commissioners of Revenue and Customs, makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Aviation (Customs and Excise Airports) (Amendment) Order 2009 and comes into force on 1st August 2009.

2.The Civil Aviation (Customs and Excise Airports) Order 2001( 2 ) is amended as follows.

3. In Article 2, omit the words “Sheffield City Airport”

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Civil Aviation (Customs and Excise Airports) Order 2001 so as to revoke the designation of Sheffield City Airport as a place for the landing or departure of aircraft for the purposes of enactments relating to customs and excise.
