The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 41 and 166(3) of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999( 1 ).
Citation and Commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Immigration (Passenger Transit Visa) (Amendment) Order 2009 and shall come into force on 3rd March 2009.
Amendments to the Immigration (Passenger Transit Visa) Order 2003
2. —(1)The Immigration (Passenger Transit Visa) Order 2003( 2 ) shall be amended as follows.
(2) In article 2—
(a) in paragraphs (1) and (4), for “paragraph (2) or (3)” substitute “paragraph (2), (3) or (3A)”; and
(b) after paragraph (3) insert—
“ (3A) This paragraph applies to a person who holds a valid passport issued by the Republic of South Africa, and who has not previously entered the United Kingdom lawfully using that passport. ” .
(3) In Schedule 1, after “Ivory Coast” insert “Jamaica”.
