The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(2)(a) and section 24(5)(b) of the Private Security Industry Act 2001( 1 ), having regard to the definition of β€œprescribed” in section 24(1) of that Act.

In accordance with section 24(4)( 2 ) of that Act the Secretary of State has consulted with the Scottish Ministers and the Security Industry Authority.

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Licences) Regulations 2007 (Amendment No.2) Regulations 2009 and shall come into force on 1st October 2009.

Amendments to the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Licences) Regulations 2007

2. β€”(1)The Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Licences) Regulations 2007( 3 ) are amended by substituting for the form set out in Schedule 1 to those Regulations the form set out in Schedule 1 to these Regulations.

(2) An application made on a form prescribed by Schedule 1 to the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Licences) Regulations 2007, as it was in force immediately before the commencement of these Regulations, shall be deemed to have been made on the corresponding form prescribed by Schedule 1 to these Regulations if received on or before 31st March 2010.

Section 24(4) of the Private Security Act 2001 has been amended by paragraph 11(e) of Schedule 15 to the Serious Organised Crime Act 2005 (c. 15) .
