The Paymaster General makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 40(2) and (4) of the London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Act 2006( 1 ):

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Act 2006 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2009.

Provisions coming into force on 5th October 2009

2. Sections 13 to 16( 2 ) of the London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Act 2006 shall come into force on 5th October 2009.

2006 c.12 . By article 3(1) and (2)(d) of S.I. 2007/2129 , the functions of the Secretary of State under section 40(2) and (4) are exercisable concurrently with the Paymaster General.

By section 41(1) and (3) of the London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Act 2006, sections 13 to 16 extend only to England and Wales and apply only in relation to places in England and things done in or in respect of England.
