The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(1) of, and paragraph 4 of Schedule 1 to, the Building Act 1984( 1 ):

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Building (Amendment) Regulations 2009 and shall come into force on 1st April 2009.

Amendment of the Building Regulations 2000

2. —(1)The Building Regulations 2000( 2 ) are amended as follows.

(2) In the Table in Schedule 2A( 3 ) (self-certification schemes)—

(a) in column 2 of paragraph 2 after “A person registered by” insert “Capita Gas Registration and Ancillary Services Limited( 4 ) or”;

(b) in column 2 of paragraph 9 for “The Electrical Contractors Association Limited” substitute “EC Certification Limited( 5 )”;

(c) in column 2 of paragraph 10 omit “ELECSA Limited,”; and

(d) in column 2 of paragraph 11 for “ELECSA Limited” substitute “EC Certification Limited”.
