The Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Approved Contractor Scheme) Regulations 2007 (Amendment) Regulations 2009

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 15(3)(a) and (8) of the Private Security Industry Act 2001( 1 ), having regard to the definition of “prescribed” in section 24(1) of that Act:

In accordance with section 24(4)( 2 ) of that Act the Secretary of State has consulted with the Scottish Ministers and the Security Industry Authority.

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Approved Contractor Scheme) Regulations 2007 (Amendment) Regulations 2009 and shall come into force on 6th April 2009.

Amendment to the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Approved Contractor Scheme) Regulations 2007

2. —(1)The Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Approved Contractor Scheme) Regulations 2007( 3 ) shall be amended as follows.

(2) In the heading to regulation 1 for “Citation, commencement and extent” substitute “Citation and commencement”.

(3) Omit regulation 1(2).
