A draft of this Order has in accordance with section 1(4) of the International Headquarters and Defence Organisations Act 1964( 1 ) been laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament;

Her Majesty, on the advice of Her Privy Council and in exercise of the power conferred on Her by section 1 of the International Headquarters and Defence Organisations Act 1964, makes the following Order:

Citation and Commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the International Headquarters and Defence Organisations (Designation and Privileges) (Amendment) Order 2009 and shall come into force on the day after that on which it is made.

Interpretation

2. In this Order “1965 Order” means the International Headquarters and Defence Organisations (Designation and Privileges) Order 1965( 2 ).

Amendment of the 1965 Order

3. —(1) For Part I of the Schedule to the 1965 Order there shall be substituted—

“ PART I

(2) For Part II of the Schedule to the 1965 Order there shall be substituted—

“ PART II

Revocation

4.The International Headquarters and Defence Organisations (Designation and Privileges)(Amendment) Order 1994( 3 ) and the International Headquarters and Defence Organisations (Designation and Privileges) Order 1999( 4 ) are hereby revoked.
