The Police and Justice Act 2006 (Commencement No. 1) (England) Order 2009

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 53(1) of the Police and Justice Act 2006( 1 ).

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Police and Justice Act 2006 (Commencement No. 1) (England) Order 2009.

Commencement

2. The following provisions of the Police and Justice Act 2006 shall come into force on 30 April 2009 in so far as they relate to England —

(a) section 19 (local authority scrutiny of crime and disorder matters);

(b) section 20 (guidance and regulations regarding crime and disorder matters);

(c) section 21 (joint crime and disorder committees); and

(d) Schedule 8 (further provision about crime and disorder committees of certain local authorities).
