The Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 265(2) of the Local Government Act 1972( 1 ) and on the application of the Council of the Isles of Scilly:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Isles of Scilly (Functions) (Adoption and Children Act 2002) Order 2010 and comes into force on 26th April 2010.

Exercise and performance of functions under the Adoption and Children Act 2002

2. The Council of the Isles of Scilly shall exercise and perform the functions conferred or imposed on local authorities under the Adoption and Children Act 2002( 2 ).
