The Work and Families Act 2006 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2010

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 19(2) and (3) of the Work and Families Act 2006( 1 ):

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Work and Families Act 2006 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2010.

(2) In this Order “the 2006 Act” means the Work and Families Act 2006 .

Provisions coming into force on 6th April 2010

2. The following provisions of the 2006 Act shall come into force on 6th April 2010—

(a) sections 3 to 10;

(b) section 11(1), in so far as it relates to the provisions in Schedule 1 to the 2006 Act which are brought into force by this Order;

(c) section 11(2) and (3);

(d) section 15, in so far as it relates to the provisions in Schedule 2 to the 2006 Act which are brought into force by this Order;

(e) Schedule 1, paragraphs 1 to 5, 10 to 15, 16(1) (in so far as it relates to paragraph 16(2)), 16(2), 17 to 20, 22, 24 to 30 and 35 to 61; and

(f) Schedule 2, in so far as it gives effect to the following repeals—

(i) section 6(2)(a) of the Employment Act 2002( 2 );

(ii) paragraphs 3, 26(3), 33(3), 48(2) and 49(3) of Schedule 7 to that Act; and

(iii) the entry relating to statutory paternity pay in Table A in section 660(1) of the Income Tax (Earnings and Pensions) Act 2003( 3 ).
