The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 147(4)(d) and 207(1) of the Equality Act 2010( 1 ):

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Equality Act 2010 (Qualifying Compromise Contract Specified Person) Order 2010 and comes into force on 1st October 2010.

Person specified

2. For the purpose of section 147(4)(d) of the Equality Act 2010, a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives practising in a solicitor’s practice (including a recognised body under section 9(1) of the Administration of Justice Act 1985( 2 )) is specified.
