The Lord President of the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 43(1) of the Political Parties and Elections Act 2009 ( 1 ), makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Political Parties and Elections Act 2009 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2010.

Appointed date

2. Section 6 of the Political Parties and Elections Act 2009 (number of Electoral Commissioners) comes into force on 1st October 2010.

2009 c. 12 ; the powers conferred by section 43(1) on the Secretary of State were made exercisable concurrently by the Lord President of the Council and the Secretary of State by the Lord President of the Council Order 2010, S.I. 2010/1837 .
