The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the Police Act 1996 ( 1 ), makes the following Regulations.

In accordance with paragraph 6 of Schedule 2 to that Act the Secretary of State has consulted with the Association of Police Authorities, persons whom she considers to represent the interests of county and district councils in England and county and county borough councils in Wales, and such other persons as she thought fit.

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Police Authority (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2010 and shall come into force on 18th December 2010.

Amendment of the Police Authority Regulations 2008

2. In regulation 41(5) of the Police Authority Regulations 2008( 2 ) (requirement to advertise) for “four” substitute “five”.
