The Immigration (Biometric Registration) (Amendment) Regulations 2010

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 5 and 6(6) of the UK Borders Act 2007( 1 ).

In accordance with section 6(6)(e) of that Act, a draft of these Regulations was laid before and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament.

Citation and commencement

1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Immigration (Biometric Registration) (Amendment) Regulations 2010.

(2) These Regulations shall come into force on the day after the day on which they are made.

Amendments to the Immigration (Biometric Registration) Regulations 2008

2. —(1) The Immigration (Biometric Registration) Regulations 2008( 2 ) are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 4 (specified categories)

(a) after paragraph (m) omit “or”;

(b) after paragraph (n) insert—

(o) as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant;

(p) as a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Migrant;

(q) as a Tier 1 (Investor) Migrant;

(r) as a Tier 1 (Post-Study Work) Migrant; or

(s) as a Tier 5 (Temporary Worker) Migrant. .
