The Submarine Pipelines (Designated Owners) Order 2010

This Order is made by the Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 27(1) of the Petroleum Act 1998( 1 ).

The Secretary of State, in accordance with section 27(3) of that Act, has given the persons proposed to be designated as owners an opportunity of being heard with respect to the matter.

Accordingly the Secretary of State makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Submarine Pipelines (Designated Owners) Order 2010 and comes into force on 5th January 2011.

Designation of ownership

2. For the purposes of section 27(1) of the Petroleum Act 1998( 2 ), each person specified in Part 1 of the Schedule is designated as owner of the pipelines described in Part 2 of the Schedule.
