The Pensions Act 2004 (Commencement No. 14) Order 2010

24th February 2010

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 315(2) and 322(1) of the Pensions Act 2004( 1 ).

Citation and interpretation

1. β€”(1) This Order may be cited as the Pensions Act 2004 (Commencement No. 14) Order 2010.

(2) In this Order β€œthe Act” means the Pensions Act 2004.

Appointed days

2. β€”(1) The day appointed for the coming into force of section 173(1)(j) (Pension Protection Fund – amounts transferred from the Fraud Compensation Fund) of the Act is 6th April 2010.

(2) The day appointed for the coming into force of section 187 (Board’s powers to make fraud compensation transfer payments) of the Act isβ€”

(a) for the purpose only of conferring power to make regulations, 25 February 2010; and

(b) for all other purposes, 6th April 2010.

(3) The day appointed for the coming into force of section 188(3)(d) (Fraud Compensation Fund – amounts required to be transferred to the Pension Protection Fund) of the Act is 6th April 2010.

(4) The day appointed for the coming into force of paragraphs 27 and 28 of Schedule 9 (reviewable matters) to the Act is 6th April 2010.
