The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, in exercise of the power conferred by section 178(2) of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009( 1 ), makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency’s Remit Order 2010 and comes into force on 1st April 2010.

2. For the purposes of Part 8 of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009, qualifications when taken by a person aged 19 or over are outside the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency’s remit.
