The Secretary of State for Children, Schools, and Families makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by paragraph 8 of Schedule 7 to the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009( 1 ):

Citation, commencement and application

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Learning and Skills Council for England (Transfer Schemes) (Permitted Transferees) Order 2010 and comes into force on 1st April 2010.

(2) This Order applies in relation to England only.

Permitted transferees

2. —(1) The following persons are specified as permitted transferees for the purposes of Schedule 7 to the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009

(a) Association of Colleges (a company limited by guarantee with registered number 03216271);

(b) Learning and Skills Improvement Service (a company limited by guarantee with registered number 06454450);

(c) British Educational Communications and Technology Agency (a company limited by guarantee with registered number 02090588);

(d) UK Commission for Employment and Skills (a company limited by guarantee with registered number 06425800);

(e) each Regional Development Agency established under section 1 of the Regional Development Agencies Act 1998( 2 ); and

(f) London Councils Limited (a company limited by guarantee with registered number 03037449).
