The Child Maintenance and Other Payments Act 2008 (Commencement No. 7) Order 2010

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 62(3) of the Child Maintenance and Other Payments Act 2008( 1 ), makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Child Maintenance and Other Payments Act 2008 (Commencement No. 7) Order 2010.

(2) In this Order, any reference to a numbered section or Schedule is a reference to a section of, or Schedule to, the Child Maintenance and Other Payments Act 2008.

Appointed day

2. The following provisions come into force on 6th April 2010—

(a) section 24 (orders preventing avoidance); and

(b) paragraph 3 of Schedule 7 (minor and consequential amendments).
