The Coroners and Justice Act 2009 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2011

The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 182(5) of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009( 1 ).

In accordance with section 182(7) of that Act( 2 ), the Secretary of State has consulted the Department of Justice.

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2011.

Commencement

2. Sections 75(2)(c), 77(1)(c) and 81(3) of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 (anonymity in investigations conducted by the Serious Organised Crime Agency)( 3 ) shall come into force in Northern Ireland on 2nd May 2011.

2009 c. 25 . Section 182 of the 2009 Act has been amended by paragraph 103 of Schedule 14 to the Northern Ireland Act 1998 (Devolution of Policing and Justice Functions) Order 2010 ( S.I. 2010/976 ).

Sections 75 and 77 of the 2009 Act have been amended by paragraphs 95 and 96 of Schedule 14 to S.I. 2010/976 . Sections 75, 77 and 81 of the 2009 Act have been partially commenced in Northern Ireland by the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 (Commencement No. 1) (Northern Ireland) Order 2011 ( S.R. (N.I.) 2011/182 (C. 10) ).
