A draft of this Order was laid before and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament in accordance with section 17(2) of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004( 1 ).

The Minister for the Cabinet Office, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(1) of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (Amendment of List of Responders) Order 2011 and comes into force on the day after the day it is made.

Amendment of Schedule 1 to the Civil Contingencies Act 2004

2. In Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Civil Contingencies Act 2004(category 1 responders: general) after paragraph 1 insertβ€”

β€œ 1A. The Greater London Authority. ” .
