The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by paragraph 16 of Schedule 2 to the Courts Act 2003( 1 ) makes the following Regulations.

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Courts Act 2003 (Continuing Provision of Court-houses) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 and shall come into force on 1st July 2011.

Amendments to the Courts Act 2003 (Continuing Provision of Court-houses) Regulations 2005

2. —(1)Regulation 2 of the Courts Act 2003 (Continuing Provision of Court-houses) Regulations 2005( 2 ) is amended as follows.

(2) In the heading, for “local authorities” substitute “Common Council of the City of London”.

(3) For “court-houses” in each place substitute “court-house”.

(4) For “relevant councils” in each place substitute “Common Council of the City of London”.

(5) In paragraph (2) omit sub-paragraph 2(b).

(6) In paragraph (3) for “those” substitute “the”.

(7) Omit paragraph (6).
